We decided that we much preferred the warmer weather in the winter and have returned back to Florida for March.
Our plan to drive 3 eight hour days did not go as planned. On the first day our 8 hours ended at 2:00pm and neither Brian or I were ready to stop. The sun was still too high in the sky and the driving was going well. Twelve hours after starting we were pulling into Christianburg, VA for the evening.
Friday was another clear, sunny day that started with a car wash and ended 11 hours later, with a few stops for gas and quick bathroom break walks, in Jacksonville, FL.
This morning we were up relatively early and on our way to check out bike week in Daytona. The drive down the A1A highway was quite nice with water on both sides of the road. We made a few stops to check out the intercostal waterway as well as the Atlantic Ocean. Though the waves were quite high and the skies were quite foggy, fishermen lined the beach. It did not take long for the fog to burn off and the skies to clear. As we approached Daytona the roads were crowded with hundreds of bikes. We found the beach access for cars, paid the fee and drove the length of Daytona Beach.

After a quick lunch by the water we started our drive to Gary and Pam’s in Venice.
Have a great time in the Sunâ¦bring it back with you!!
All the best,
Whynn and Mike

I heard that you had some fantastic weather yesterday and that it is to continue all of this week. I am hoping that by the time we are back that the temperatures will have risen and the sun shines more 🙂
