We returned to Gary and Pam’s house on Saturday after a great cruise on the MSC Seashore. Though the cruise seemed to go by very quickly it was just what we needed – ocean, sand and warm sunshine.
Now back at Gary and Pam’s our riding adventures continue. Saturday afternoon we went to a bike park called Carlton to do our first mountain bike single trail. It was an easy trail that took us through a newly burned forest. Controlled burns are done to protect and maintain the forest and its wildlife. It was an interesting feeling driving the trail with the smell and visuals of a forest fire.

Sunday took us to a different bike park – Calooshatchee. Here we rode a slightly longer and more difficult trail – for us that is – it was quite a mild trail for Gary and Pam. On this trail we tried hills, berms and wooden features. I had my first fall when I didn’t give enough push going up a very steep hill. It was an odd slow-motion fall as I slipped off the edge of the hill into the soft forest bed. Nothing injuries we were back at it. It was tremendous fun! I am excited to see what the next trail will be like.

OH NOOO!!! Good photo of dad helping you out of your fallen bush. Jacob says your second bike path looks like a water buffalo, you should try and make a fun animal next time you go out (or spell something)
