Ocho Rios, Jamaica

Ocho Rios (Spanish for “Eight Rivers”), once a sleepy fishing village, has seen explosive growth in the last decade to become a popular tourist destination. Unfortunately with the threats of COVID, visiting the beaches and straw market by foot was not permitted.

The town has done a great job at creating the “Island Village” which is a “safe zone” that requires guests to wear masks at all times and have their temperature taken before entering. We walked around this area and within the town boundaries, supported a local posing with guests, and then returned to the ship.
