First and foremost we ate the cheesecake as our driving snack yesterday it was decadent!

Just after noon yesterday we arrived at Gary and Pam’s place in Venice. After a quick lunch we headed to Nokomis Beach to meet Pam and her friend Gaye for some sun and sand. We stayed to watch the sun start to set and then returned home for a coconut red curry supper prepared by Gaye. It was delicious.

This morning Brian and I left the house early to get our required COVID test for our cruise. It was a drive through with no appointment required. We were fortunate to only have to wait an hour.

After Pam returned from dropping Gaye off at the Fort Myer’s airport we all headed out for a bike ride around Venice island. The loop was 20km along the inter coastal in some spots as well as the Gulf of Mexico. We saw turtles and many different birds.
