The Hampton Inn did not disappoint – as expected the room was clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. With a slow start we set out for the next leg of our trip at 8:30. Today the sun shone most of the day, making the drive much easier and it wasn’t long before we no longer saw any snow on the ground.

The first part of the drive afforded us beautiful views of the hills of North Carolina.

We arrived in Orlando around 7:00pm this evening. After checking into our hotel – another Hampton Inn – we set out to find a place to eat. Our choice was the Olive Garden. We enjoyed our meal and then walked along International Blvd and through ICON park watching people brave the slingshot and tower drop rides and listening to the different live bands playing in the restaurants along the strip.
