Today we arrived at the ship just before noon. Parked the car, checked in and boarded the ship. Our first stop was to drop our luggage off in our rooms. Megan and Al were surprised with an upgrade to a balcony room – unfortunately they have commented that they will always have to book balcony rooms now 🙂 – then up to the Windjammer for a quick bite of lunch and then back to the rooms to unpack.

Just after 4:00 we set sail. It was a great departure passing by the cityscape of New York City. The captain circled the Statue of Liberty so everyone on both sides of the ship could get a good view.

This evening we watched a good comedian and had a very late supper at 8:45 PM. We all agreed that we would need to eat earlier as we ate too much while waiting for suppertime!
