Katie drove us to the airport at 11:00 am Monday morning to catch our first flight from Ottawa to Toronto. As we had some time to kill we decided to have a sandwich at Tim Hortons.

Landed in Toronto at 2:00pm and walked the airport for about 2 hours waiting to catch our flight to Frankfurt. Brian decided that he would get a hamburg in the airport as it would be better than the food on the plane – and we did have time to spare 🙂

We recently read that “older” individuals should do a chin hold when doing selfies to hide sagging chins. Thought we would give it a try!

Boy were we glad that we decided to splurge – it was my birthday – for seats with extra leg room. The flight was great and we were both able to get a solid sleep. We landed in Frankfurt a little later than planned due to a medical emergency on the flight, but we were still able to clear customs, find the departure gate and catch our flight to Bari.

The flight from Frankfurt to Bari was a short 1.5 hours. We landed in Bari at around 10:00am. Picked up our car and set off for Scala.
