For our last day in Lagos we decided to investigate the beaches in front of the apartment we rented. It was a little cooler and windier today than it had been all week.
Once on the beach we found we were able to travel through the grottos formed in the rocks from the beach in front of the apartment to the beach we visited the first day 3 km up the road. It was quite fun beating the waves in the spots were we had to go around the rocks to get to the next beach and discovering the next beach after passing through a grotto.
Next we walked around the marina to get to the long beach. We sat for a short time and watched a young man learning to surf while the wind whipped sand around us.
For supper tonight we returned to our favourite restaurant – The Caravel – for our final meal.
